In the battle between lcd versus plasma televisions one of the issues with the lcd display is its inability to handle fast motion images. The issue appears mostly in athletic events and action films. If you watch closely you can see the blurred images while objects are moving fast. However, the newer LCD tvs have attempted to rectify this issue by running on 120hz. These particlular LCDs now are capable of handling fast motion with virtually no blur. The Samsung LNT4669 HDTV LCD is one of the newer LCD models currently being sold that process with 120hz. I have seen many athletic events on this television and could see no motion blur. This 120hz technology doubles the frame rate from 60 to 120 frames per second without repeating the same image to create more frames, making the transition much more smooth and fluid.

Like most of the newer lcd/plasma sets, the Samsung LN-T4669 also has 1080P resolution. 1080P is the highest resolution currently available which can be seen in either HDDVD or Blu-ray. Most HiDef programming is only 720p/1080i, but the Samsung is future proof which should please any buyer. Watching a scene from Pirates of the Carribean on this tv is truly amazing. The colors seemed to pop off the screen while the picture was crystal clear. The 20,000:1 Dynamic Contrast Ratio provides whiter whites and blacker blacks. I currently use a Samsung 71" DLP for watching movies and can definitely say that the Samsung LN-T4669 clearly gives off a much cleaner and brighter picture.

The Samsung LN-T4669 provides 3 HDMI inputs, 1 is on the side of the television and 2 in the back. Along with the HDMI inputs, you also have 2 S-video, 2 component, and 2 antenna connections.

The television itself is gorgeous like most of the flat panel televisions on the market. It is glossy black and very sleak. The Samsung weighs 55 pounds without the stand. The screen itself has a depth of only 4.1" making it perfect to hang on any wall.

Overall this is a great television if you are willing to spend the extra money for 1080P/120hz. If you are like me and watch a lot of sports and Blu-ray/HD-DVD movies then this television is definitely for you.
